There will never be a shortage of beautiful women in Hollywood. Over the years, we have been introduced to new and heightened beauty. Talented, funny, and charismatic women who changed the way we dressed, acted and aspired to be (or be with).
As the decade comes to a close, we want to honor the women who have most influenced our lives. Not only are they beautiful, but these women hone their craft too! From pop icons to actors, to models, these are the top 10 most beautiful women of the decade.
But first, we need to highlight the women who dominated the decade, both taking two out of ten spots each. That’s 40% of the past ten years, congratulations to…
Jessica Alba (2015 / 2016)
Taking over 2015 and 2016, Jessica Alba was on a high of her career that we could just not gloss over. Though she launched her business “The Honest Company” in 2012, it reached new heights in 2015 after launching its beauty counterpart. At an estimated 1 billion in value, there is no doubt in our mind that Jessica is one of the most successful women this decade.
Plus, I personally had little reason to deny Jessica Alba a spot on the list. She is just too damn cute to not get the rank on appeal alone.
Margot Robbie (2014 / 2017)
One of the most recognizable names in Hollywood for the latter half of the decade, we have Australian actress Margot Robbie. Making her mark by starring as Naomi Lapaglia in the hit movie, Wolf of Wallstreet in 2013 she kick-started her career. Starring in back-to-back hits, she truly got her stride in Suicide Squad as the infamous Harley Quinn. This stand out role made her one of the most desirable women in Hollywood. Launching hundreds of thousands of women to aspire to be the character, as it is still one of the most popular Halloween costumes to date.
With a slew of upcoming movies in 2020, we can look forward to continuous exposure of the talent and beauty that is, Margot Robbie.
Now onto the rest of the decade!
2010: Sofia Vergara
Starting out the decade we have Sofia Vergara. Vergara has been in the spotlight since the early ’90s, co-hosting Univision television shows and guest appearing in Four Brothers, and a few Tyler Perry productions.
Her star-making role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the ABC comedy series Modern Family is where she really stood out. For this role, she has been nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. WIth a rap-sheet like that, there’s no wonder why she’s on this list.
2011: Megan Fox
Is there really much we have to say about Mrs. Megan Fox? Her name is almost unanimous with “hot”. With her breakout role in Transformers in 2007, Fox was sure to be one of the most beautiful women of the decade. Someone everyone still remembers as the “it” girl. We’re just hoping that in the decade to come her and Micheal Bay can come together and create a few more hits just so we can sit in awe.
2012: Scarlett Johansson
It’s no surprise this powerhouse of an actress made the list. With films such as Lost in Translation (2003), The Prestige (2006), and Match Point (2005) in her repertoire, she was setting herself up for a long and incredible career.
With her first appearance as Black Widow in Iron Man 2 (2010), she was on course to be a part of one of the most important and influential cinematic feats of the century. We have no doubt in our mind that Johansson will continue to be one of the best and most desirable actresses in the decades to come.
2013: Natalie Portman
Another powerhouse of an actress, we have Natalie Portman. Gaining international stardom in her role as Padmé in the Star Wars series, Portman has starred in many critically acclaimed movies. From V for Vendetta (2006) to Anne Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) alongside Scarlett Johansson. Like Johansson, making her presence known in the MCU appearing as Jane Foster in the Thor series. We look forward to her reprising her role in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder movie.
2018: Emily Ratajkowski
Rising to prominence in 2013, after appearing scantily clad in the music video for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”, which became the number-one song of the year in several countries. From there she made her film debut as the mistress of Ben Affleck’s character in the 2014 film Gone Girl. She then went on to be featured in 3 major motion films, Cruise, In Darkness and I Feel Pretty alongside comedian Amy Schumer. With a promising career ahead, I’m sure there will be no shortage of Ms. Ratajkowski ahead,
2019: Selena Gomez
Like with most Disney stars, Selena Gomez drastically changed her image after turning 18. From bubbly child star on Wizards of Waverly Place to Spring Breakers (2012), Gomez wanted the world to know that she was a woman. And we all agreed. With the release of her studio album Revival (2015), all eyes were turned to the actress/singer. Maintaining her staying power Gomez has been steadily appearing in movies, TV, and live performances. Her upcoming album Rare is sure to keep us all in the palm of her hand. And honestly, we have no complaints.
